Snowstorm

I moved from Arizona to Pensylvania this winter. When I asked around everyone told me they get 2-3 snowstorms a year. That number seems like per week to me. I had got my old Honda civic with me. The very first time the frost set in, my gas tank was frozen! I did not use the anti-freeze!

I am used to flatlands but my apartment is on a hill. I had to literally push my civic up the hill during the first storm. I parked the car and went upstairs. When I came back, the car was missing. A negihbour told me later that he saw it was being towed. I was furious because I had parked in my parking space and had all the necessary papers. I got a colelague to drive me to the tow office and had to pay $75. The guy at the desk opened my file and said the car was elsewhere. Then it occurred to me that the car must have slid on its own. Apparently i had to use the parking brakes. I had never driven on hilly areas and i had no clue that a car would slide on its own. Well, that was my second lesson.

Yesterday's storm left me crippled. I got tired of removing the snow on my car. I swear my car got compressed by a couple of inches! I am waiting for summer! I think higher temperatures are much better than this freezing subzero climate.
