Roast coriander and cumin seeds until you get nice aroma. Grind to a coarse powder. This mixture is called Dhan jeera. Blanch beans for a few minutes in boiling water and drain. Heat the oil on medium/high. When hot add mustard, asafoetida, and cumin seeds. When mustard begins to pop turn the heat down to low and add chili, turmeric, dhana jeera and garam masala. Add beans and a bit of water, cook over low heat for 8-10 minutes until just tender. When beans are just tender add tomato, salt to taste, and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
